Broken Into a Beautiful Work of Art

Hey guys and I assume there are at least some guys here, I am going to post another example of what I think of as Christian Romance from a man's perspective.
I mentioned in the earlier post, that I see Scripture as Christian Romance Writing and seek to use that romance in my delivery of sermons, to reach people on a deeper level.
With that set up, here is a Christian Romance blog for us guys!
Broken into a Beautiful Piece of Art
There is a village in the Far East that through the centuries has been known for its exquisite pottery. Especially striking were its urns, admired around the globe for their strong form and delicate beauty.
Legend has it that each urn took months to fashion and rework into an object of perfection. When the artisan knew his creation was ready, he fired it into a smooth, glass-like, amazingly unique piece of art with colors so rich they made you want to cry. However, there was one final step.
The potter would examine the urn and after declaring its perfection, would take a large mallet and shatter it. The chief potter would then begin the painstaking process of putting the broken pieces back together using only gold filigree to join them.
An ordinary urn now completely transformed into a priceless work of art.
What seemed finished was not until it was broken and put back together by the potter's hand.We think we have arrived. We believe our life is perfect. Sometimes we even proclaim perfection through our words and behavior and then one-day life smashes into our perfect dreams, breaking our life into an array of pieces. Our world suddenly seems disjointed, out of step and unfulfilled.
Then the Hands of the Potter take over. He takes all the broken pieces of a life destroyed and carefully fits them together using the most precious substance known in the universe to cement us into place. Why? So that He might place us among His many other works of art, created out of brokenness and pain.
Give Him a chance, today. Stay a while on the Potter's wheel and be healed, fixed, recreated and made beautiful by the hands of the One whose love was so great He left Heaven to die on a cross, alone and hated, so that He would not have to live forever in Paradise without you.
Rest in His arms.
Let the wheel of His Love restore and repair you.
As He turns your broken heart and shattered dreams into a priceless work of art, let His love overflow your vessel, changing everything in its path.
He Loves you, you know.
You personally. Individually.
He loves you...
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
