Can she win his respect---and perhaps his love? 352 pages, softcover from Bethany. |
CRM RATING: T Explain: Because the romance was so sweet and clean it was a refreshing read.
SPIRITUAL RATING: 4 Explain: Carrie deals with how to suffer for God.
CRM REVIEW:
The fifty-third employee of the esteemed carousel factory is a woman? Josef Kaestner and the rest of the employees are appalled. It seems that everyone wants Carrington Brouwer, the new painter, to be fired. They’re getting their point across by quitting. She should have stayed in France. Carrie doesn’t know who to turn to- except God. Jewelry is missing, and she is the main suspect. Though everything is amiss, Josef is always there to walk her home from the factory. The Carousel Painter is written in first person. Miller has excellent writing and her research shows through her details. The pace is a tad slow, but the romance between Josef and Carrie is unique. Beautiful cover!
