Christian Book Reviews and Ratings For Christian Fiction
The following Christian book reviews, are to help you decide if this is a book you or your teen, should read.
Let's talk about the rating system for a moment.
G...............GENERAL AUDIENCE OR EVERYONE...............E PG.....PARENTAL GUIDANCE OR EVERYONE ABOVE 10.....E-10 PG-13......PARENTAL GUIDANCE OR EVERYONE ABOVE 13....TEEN R................RESTRICTED OR MATURE....................M NC-17..........NO CHILD UNDER 17 OR ADULTS ONLY........AO
NOTE:UNDERSTAND THAT AN NC-17 OR R RATING DOES NOT MEAN PORNOGRAPHY ON THIS SITE. IT SIMPLY MEANS THAT THERE IS MATURE SUBJECT MATTER AND IT WOULD BE ADVISABLE THAT A CHILD UNDER 17 SHOULD NOT READ YET AS IT MAY "AWAKEN LOVE BEFORE IT'S TIME."
CRM strongly cautions parents when allowing a child under 17 to read a romance novel of any kind. To allow a child to put themselves in the character's head when they are thinking and feeling mature things about the opposite sex, can be hard at best and dangerous at worst. The child will have a great difficulty remaining "childlike" in their view of the opposite sex.

 | Becoming Lucy, Winds Across the Prairie Series #1 By Martha Rogers / Realms
After her parents' deaths, 17-year-old heiress Lucy Bishop takes refuge on her aunt and uncle's ranch in Barton Creek, Oklahoma. If it weren't for ranch hand Jake Starnes, the genteel young woman wouldn't survive the backbreaking work. But a dark secret torments him. Can Jake face his past before somebody claims Lucy's hand---or her life? 304 pages, softcover from Realms. |
CRM RATING:T or PG-17 Though the story remains sweet and clean CRM usually gives a rating age of 17 to anything that involves romantic love between a man and woman. CRM REVIEW: Becoming Lucy is a sweet love story. Martha does a wonderful job taking us through the struggles of a coming-of-age young woman. She paints a world where family is a matter of the heart and not necessarily of blood. For that reason we give it 3 stars for strong family values.

 | Touched by a Vampire: Discovering the Hidden Messages in the Twilight Saga By Beth Felker Jones / Random House, Inc
People around the world are enraptured by Edward and Bella's forbidden romance in the Twilight Series, and many Christians want to know if the themes represented in the series can be reconciled with Biblical principles. Can a bestselling story about vampires teach us about God's plan for love? Touched by a Vampire is the first book of it's kind to investigate these themes, taking an insighful look at the moral principles illustrated in the story such as sexual abstinence, gender roles, love and family. Beth Felker Jones examines whether the story's redemptive qualities ultimately outshine its darkness however. Using a cautionary yet thoughtful approach, Touched by a Vampire is the perfect book for fans of the series and for pop-culture enthusiasts alike. Includes an overview of the series and a discussion guide for small groups. | CRM Rating: PG-13 For Subject matter. CRM Review: 5 stars A CRM recommended book! I loved this book! I found it helpful, informative and non-preachy. Completely recommend this book if you or someone you love is a vampire book fan. This will lead you to some great God-conversations, guaranteed.

And someone-or some thing-watching Nina. Wanting her. Stalking her with a 250-year-old desire that burns like a raging wildfire. Nina's ex-husband Hunt shows up, hoping to protect Nina and Megan, the angry teenage daughter who followed her to Missouri. After that the story led me just where the author wanted me...all the way to the end of the book. Tina's writing is strong and her story unique. I have the privilege of sitting down with
