Lonestar Sanctuary

Colleen Coble

545497: Lonestar Sanctuary, Lonestar Series #1Lonestar Sanctuary, Lonestar Series #1
By Colleen Coble / Thomas Nelson

Fleeing a vengeful stalker and desperate to help her daughter, Betsy, speak again, Allie Siders finds a safe place for them at the Bluebird Ranch, a home for troubled children---and abused horses. Owner Elijah DeAngelo welcomes them, but foreman Rick Bailey is guarded. Can Allie and Rick put aside the past to save all they hold dear? 320 pages, softcover from Nelson.

CRM RATING: T
Explain:Lonestar Sanctuary gave me goose bumps in the prologue. Coble has the worldly problems brought into the book in a general manner and is not descriptive- keeping the book clean. I was impressed and am looking forward to more of her stories.

SPIRITUAL RATING: 2
Explain: N/A

CRM REVIEW:

Allie Siders can’t hide forever. But if she just makes it to the sanctuary of Bluebird ranch she might be able to piece part of her life back together. Her immediate family has been murdered, and her stalker is taunting her with phone calls.

Foreman Rick Bailey fell in love. Allie’s little girl has slipped past his defenses and into his heart. If only he could do the same for her, then Betsy might talk again. With Allie’s in-law’s searching to force a custody suit for their granddaughter, there seems only one sure way for Betsy to stay with her mother.

Happily ever after is about to turn into a nightmare. Who is her stalker? When will he emerge? Can Rick keep them safe?

You’ll find all the answers inside. Coble has got the suspense down pat. 3-D

WHAT YOU'LL FIND INSIDE:

Romance between a man and woman - Yes

Fondling - No

Felt arousal when reading certain scenes – No

Felt this book properly represented a Biblical world view – Yes

I would recommend this book to a Christian audience – Yes

Other things of special note: SPOILER! Rick was abused as a child and has nightmares from accidentally killing a child in Iraq. Elijah killed Nolan because he raped Anne, his daughter. One of the girls at Bluebird Ranch has been sexually abused. Rick’s fingernail gets torn off.
