CRM REVIEW:Red Dawson hadn’t planned on marrying the town china doll- it just happened. Though his heart said ‘yes’ his good sense screamed ‘no’. After watching her get manhandled over her husband’s fresh grave, Red could only say ‘I do’. Now he is unevenly yoked, and has baby to prepare for. Cassie Griffin, however, is a child herself. Cassie tries real hard to make it up to him by doing some chores. Her help is more of a hindrance. Red wants to get down on his knees and beg her not to help him anymore- except, he doesn’t have the heart to do it. He has a mind to dig up her dead husband just so he can kill him. All the rules her late husband put into her pretty little head are plum wrong. She has been trained to hide her emotions. While Red wants an obedient wife, he also wants her to be a little sassy too. He’s not sure how much longer he can take hearing, “Yes, Red” or “Whatever you say, Red”. Someone else is after Red’s beautiful wife. With a baby, chores gone wrong, and Cassie’s stalker it’s only a matter of time before everything comes crashing down. Connealy is a master at humorous dialogue and writing! Her stories are delighting as the plot and romance thicken to a well rounded western tale. Though her scenes are not that graphic, they are still there.
