Sending out Thank You Notes

by Morghan Alemeda
(Rhode Island)

After you get back from a writers conference and your appointments with either editors or agents or both, don't forget to send them a NICE thank you note promptly! Write down who you talked to while there or make sure you get their business card so you know where to send the note.

Spend the extra money to get a quality set of Thank You's too instead the using those Wal-mart specials. Hallmark usually has a nice selection or have your best friend who makes homemade cards, make you up your own variety.

Either way, make sure you send them off ASAP and include a business care with your picture on it.

Also, jog their memory by saying things like "Your comment on the first page of my novel, Gone With the Wind really helped me see where I was weighing down the opening scene."

Don't forget to hand sign it as well.

Thank you notes too
by: Ginger

I have gone to writers conferences on and off for a few years and I like to send the teachers or instructors, as well as the people who put on the conference, a thank you note as well. I just like to give them encouragement for doing what they do.

Yes! Thank You's
by: Anonymous

I just got back from a conference and I'm sending mine out this week! I have about 6 to send but that's okay. I also made my own with my Cricut and my embosser. They came out soooo nice!
