Tailor-Made Bride

By Karen Witemeyer

207556: A Tailor-Made BrideA Tailor-Made Bride
By Karen Witemeyer / Bethany House

Jericho "J.T." Tucker wants nothing to do with Coventry, Texas's new dressmaker. He's all too familiar with her kind--shallow women more devoted to fashion than true beauty. Yet, except for her well-tailored clothing, this seamstress is not at all what he expected. Hannah Richards is confounded by the man who runs the livery. The unsmiling fellow riles her with his arrogant assumptions and gruff manner while at the same time stirring her heart with unexpected acts of kindness. Which side of Jericho Tucker reflects the real man?

CRM RATING: T
Explain: Make room. There’s a new book on the shelves that’s a must read.

SPIRITUAL RATING: 4
Explain: Excellent verses to explain the contrast of beauty and vanity.

CRM REVIEW:

It's providence. Hannah Richards' dreams are about to unfold when she opens up her dress shop. She pours her heart into beautiful things and invests time into the needy around her while trying to stay away from the livery owner as much as possible.

It's not providence. Jericho "J.T." Tucker can tell you that. He had plans for the shop across the street. He was going to get the local widow moved into the nicer building and cut her bills in half by charging less rent. She desperately needs to get out from her landowner’s thumb. But Miss Richards is ruining everything. She's walking circles around him. His defenses are crumbling. Maybe, the name he despises so much might actually fit him.

It's stunning! The characters are well rounded. I especially thought Hannah’s morning work-out was an adorable twist in her character. Witemeyer's metaphors will blow you away. Cute. Inviting. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed this novel. And gorgeous cover!

WHAT YOU'LL FIND INSIDE:

Romance between a man and woman - Yes

Felt arousal when reading certain scenes – No

I would recommend this book to a Christian audience – Yes

Felt this book properly represented a Biblical world view – Yes

Other things of special note: Wow. Any time Jericho was beginning to think of Hannah more than he should he distracted himself.
