When Bethany Silverton left the sheltered life of Miss Henderson's School for Young Ladies back in Philadelphia for the raw frontier town of Sweetwater, Montana, she had no idea how much she would enjoy the freedom and danger of this wild country. A conservative preacher's daughter, Bethany can't resist the challenge of charming the most unregenerate cowboy in town into attending her father's new church. She never dreamed that the cowboy would charm the lady. Now she's wagered her heart on love and gotten more-much more-than she bargained for. |
CRM RATING: T
SPIRITUAL RATING: 3-4 Explain: So good. This book is one of my favorites. Bethany’s mother gives her the truth about love that every teen should hear. The story’s illustration couldn’t flow better!
CRM REVIEW:
Bethany Silverton’s heart belongs in the east with her prim and proper upbringing. God calls her reverend father to the unconventional territory of Montana. She is searching for a way back to society until she meets Hawk Chandler. The whole town has no respect for him… so what is it she sees in him? Hawk thinks he has Bethany figured out. Hawk even likes her until he finds that all the times she has batted her eyes at him are in vain to win a bet. He has got a passion to make her pay. A kiss, a twist, and cholera are sure to shake things up for the couple, and they might even find out what love is like through their struggles.
