Writing Tips

W
riting Tips aplenty on this page. Now that you have successfully navigated some of the rules of Christian Fiction, you are ready for the next step. Here we give you some writing tips to tweak the rules a bit.

For example, do you know whether it is permissible to use sex or is there strictly no sex in Christian romance novels? If we do, are we breaking the rules or merely tweaking them?

Rules are made to be broken they say and Christian Romance Magazine couldn't agree more. If you've read Love Scenes than you know how much we like to break the rules.

Aha, did you just jump to the wrong conclusion? Best check out the page to be sure. Then you can come back here and continue on as we finish with why some rules, must never be broken...at least in Christian Fiction.

Below, you will find links to these very useful writing tips which will also give you links to their corresponding rule. Go back and forth as much as you like and remember to take notes. There will be a quiz later...

...Or not

The important thing to remember with any of this information is to practice, practice, practice!

Becoming a good writer, does not happen overnight. Articulation...drawing in of the reader...things of that nature, come with practice!

By the way...have you done that little exercise we talked about at the bottom of the show dont tell page? (Yes, we realize we did not use an apostrophe in don't. The search engines don't like them so we don't use them...unless we have to.)

Let's get down to business!

Click on the links below to get started. Or click Writing Rules and read them first, if you have not done so already. Either way, remember to enjoy the ride.

Oh, and as always, don't (see we just used an apostrophe there,) forget to tell others that we are here serving the Christian community in a unique way.
